CHALO ...for Breakfast

As winters onset, it takes a little mental cajoling to get the body out of the bed and out for morning walks...I still manage my  wintery - blues πŸ˜…,not bad for a person who has seen six decades- sixty cycles of all seasons .. but 😊 am still not weathered down...!!!

Post Diwali morning it was largely peaceful on the roads for want of traffic, the air was relatively fresh with a feel of gentle wind like when swinging on a hammock. Branches of trees were swaying as if resonating with the rythm. Golden sunrays filtering through the branches and canopies.... glowing amd shimmering as they lit up the ground !! what a sight to behold accompanied with gleeful chirpings of  birds and occasional sounds by squirrel and peacocks and peahens.

In the forest that i go for walks i slightly change my route as it saves me from monotony. Also you see nature at different angles and see people engaged in their routines...believe me EACH has a singular way even while walking. You don't believe meπŸ™ƒ , want to know how...ok walks can differ in pace; one might prefer walking alone / in groups; carrying mobile, talking on it, listening to music;  chanting ; discussing politics ; discussing personal/ family issues ; advisory on exercises ; coaching colleagues; verbal troubleshooting; clapping; laughing loudly...go out  you will find so many more to add to the list !! I try to and prefer walking alone only very occasionally I might be caught in a situation and might have to walk with someone ...But i really πŸ’• walking alone in my own company and thoughts❣️I thoroughly enjoy being in my own ❤️company.

As i walked heard somebody shouting as if calling out to someone. In the forest din i caught the sound close to as halo/ alo. I sort of don't appreciate shouts and loud sounds for me they break the delicate  nature's sound network !  Ignoring I continued to walk ...  it recurred closer. I could clearly hear the word it was "chalo...Chalo...chalo " (means in Hindi -come ,let's go ). I was perplexed πŸ˜•. As i turned the corner and i saw a gentleman holding a bag with seeds and biscuits, a very usual sight. Again he said "Chalo, chalo ,chalo"
And  to my utter astonishment I saw birds flying from their perches .squirrels scrambling down the tree trunks, even peacock/ hens ambling towards the gentleman, and he threw the seeds and biscuits, all took their share and scampered back...I WAS 😲 awestruck.

I watched till the party went on !!! On  asking the gentleman told me he follows this routine every morning  at 9 am and has kept this date with the forest inhabitants for the last 7 years  without failing and does his own breakfast only after he has fed his comrade: birds -πŸ¦πŸ¦œπŸ•Š️🦚🐿️ - first. Laudable...❣️What a connection and commitment by Hem Chand Meena,  a Retd. AI official  !!!

I was also reminded of The story of Pied Piper of Hamelin How his music enthralled and enamored the rats and they danced away behind the Piper, to his music to their death by drowning. But here on the contrary Mr Meena was helping sustaining the birds- 🐿️🐦🦜 πŸ•Š️🦚- in providing them food and water . Moreover, how trustworthy he was for them ...one call by him and the birds and animals readily eating from his hand.A FEELING of absoluteπŸ’—mutual trust
...In science this is called CONDITIONING remember Pavlove !!! ...

That's nature's inherent simplicity for one to understand and hence experience ! But only only if one is simple and in tune with Nature !!  Sincerely wish we all learn to be worthy of the  trust, our children and people around us pose in  us ...Life and society would be a lot simpler to live and less chequered and layered... sprouting fragrance of positivity and Happiness for all life ❣️

  1. Very interesting! Totally agree about the morning walks, pushing yourself every day at the crack of dawn to get up and start your day. But once out it’s a delight to see the sun rise and feel the nip in the air. I like walking with my group of friends chatting exchanging notes and discussing every thing under the sun. A good start to a day!!
